There were so many in the alleys cuz of the introduction flat screen tvs. Everyone threw their old tvs out cuz they were heavy and didn't tune in signals well. They forgot they're easy to hook up to vcrs and stereo systems. Plus greatvw Nintendo and Playstation.

OLED can have nearly identical motion clarity with BFI. As higher refresh rate monitors come out, it could theoretically be better than CRT, but the signal chain for digital is tough to cut compared to analog data in a CRT, making it hard to compete on input response time.

Yeah it was a cool technology but it was terrible at same time, Watt usage is ungodly compared to modern TV's, Due to physics of this Technology it will never get thin like our TV's, for manufacturing it costs way more than modern TV's.
