It was a error in manufacturing, the finish was done incorrectly on the batch first released, then the heat from the phone at peak temperature caused the discolouration

I keep my phone in a expensive clear case and the area around the buttons has started to discolor. And I don’t clean my phone with any harsh chemicals.

this video has almost 300k likes even though it doesn’t at all mention the *REAL* reason some phones don’t look as they were marketed 🙄 it’s because of an error with the anodization process for one batch of the phones. that’s all! not BLEACH!
