It was definitely the first option because the YouTuber ZackScottGames got the switch to a day early and was actually allowed to play on it. It was to prevent people from stealing the console early.

Yeah, no shit the console doesn’t work yet, you’re not even supposed to have it yet. I honestly doubt that people having the switch 2 before launch date is even legal.
