why? they became extinct for a reason, if released into the wild, they would disrupt the balance in nature. nothing like playing God , aye?

I don't know if it's even possible now, but I would really like them to try to bring the thylacine from Tasmania back from extinction,

They are not in any way Dire wolves. Numerous real scientific channels have explained this and if interested, I'd advise everyone to check them out. This is terrible and unsupported journalism.
